Minister Performs Puja Inside Polling Booth

A Video Clip of Chhattisgarh Minister Dayaldas Baghel performing puja inside a booth while the polling for the Assembly Polls was underway has gone viral. Quickly, The Returning Officer served a notice to the Minister seeking his explanation over conducting puja of an EVM within 24 hours.
Dayaldas Baghel is the Sitting MLA from Nawagarh. He is also the Minister for Cooperatives.
Prior to the voting, Dayaldas Baghel offered prayers and coconut inside the polling booth. EC is going to deal with this incident very seriously as it's a violation of poll code. Nawagarh is one of 72 constituencies where polling was conducted in the second phase.
Congress slammed the Public Representative for worshipping EVMs instead of public or voters. Opposition mocked the BJP Leaders saying they have been offering prayers for EVMs to retain power after neglecting people's welfare for 15 years.
