Police authorities have informed to chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy that widespread protest could take a violent turn anytime soon unless centre takes the initiative to resolve the issue at the earliest. After hearing the concerns of the cops, Kiran asked them to act strictly on anti-social elements who try to take advantage of the situation and not to tolerate anyone who chooses violent path. He expressed the feeling that Congress high command would come up with a solution to the issue very soon.

Kiran Kumar Reddy directed the concerned officials to ensure essential services like drinking wanter, medial and health care and midday meals have been provided during the strike period.

Since the past two weeks, Educational institutions and hospitals have been shut down, transportation has come to halt with APSRTC too joining the movement and even the liquor revenue dropped drastically as shops were closed fearing attack from the protesters.
