Shahrukh Khan's Chennai Express has created a history by becoming the first Indian film to collect Rs 200 crore in just 6 days, surpassing the record of Ek Tha Tiger which crossed the 200 mark in 10 days.

Chennai Express has been released in over 4,500 screens Worldwide. The film has raked in Rs 134.79 crore in the domestic circuit and the Overseas figure is whooping Rs 70 crore in just 6 days. Shahrukh's star power, Rohit Shetty's track record, wide release and mass appeal have made this possible.

The first weekend collections of the film itself touched Rs 100 crores and the revenues haven't shown any decline even in the weekdays. By the end of its full run, Chennai Express is expected to collect at least another Rs 100-plus crore and that would pose a threat to 3 Idiots record of highest grossing Indian film.
