Balapur Laddu fetches record price

Balapur laddu fetched record price of Rs 9.26 lakhs for the organizers when it was auctioned ahead of the Ganesh Idol immersion procession in Hyderabad on Wednesday morning. The previous highest for the Balapur laddu is Rs 7.50 lakhs in the year 2012 and the trend shows it's only growing big with each passing year.
TDP leader Teegala Krishna Reddy bagged the sacred laddu by participating in the auction conducted by the Balapur Ganesh Utsav committee. After the auction, Mr. Reddy felt bagging the Balapur laddu as a great honour and blessings of Lord Ganesh will be with him. He appreciated the Utsav committee's good intention to use the auction money for the development of Balapur village.
Krishna Reddy wants to offer the laddu to his party president Chandrababu Naidu and well wishers.
