Actress Gayathri Rao shot to fame with Sekhar Kammula's Happy Days. Though the film is a big hit, it didn't fetch her any offers. It was her role as a sidekick to Shruti Haasan in Gabbar Singh earned him enough recognition.
Gayathri is playing a similar role in Vishal's film Madha Gadha Raja. She will be seen as a girl who falls in love with comedian Santhanam who plays a full length role. Except for script, hero and language, this role is same-to-same with that of her vamp role in Gabbar Singh. This film is dubbed in Telugu as NTR which stands for Nataraja Thanai Raja.
