AICC chief Sonia Gandhi has taken a daring decision to divide Andhra Pradesh after consultations with the leaders in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting. Four key leaders in Congress were behind the announcement of formation of Telangana state. Surprisingly, all of them have succeeded in spoiling the prospects of Congress party in their home states.

Chidambaram - Union Minister - Tamilnadu: He just managed to win the polls with a little margin of over 100 votes in last general elections. The alliance of Congress with DMK is a big failure.
Digvijay Singh - Former CM - Madhya Pradesh: He faced the ire of people after the division of his state under his rule. Ever since the Congress never came to power.
Ahmad Patel - Sonia's Political Advisor - Gujarat: Congress is just in this state for the namesake.
Ghulam Nabi Azad - Former CM - Jammu Kashmir: Congress has faced a shameful defeat in this state during the last general elections.
