Ratan Tata in Supreme Court

Former Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata on Wednesday was present in Supreme Court during the hearing of the petition filed by him seeking action against the people who leaked his conversations with corporate broker Niira Radia.
Ratan Tata filed a plea in December 2012 stating the leakage of the tapes comes under invasion of his privacy and sought stern action against those who were found guilty. He even requested for the copy of the report filed by the government explaining how the tapes were leaked.
Actually, Radia's phone was taped after Finance Minister P Chidambaram received a complaint against her in the year 2007. About 180 days of Radia's conversations have been recorded, August 20th (2008) onwards for 60 days, October 19th (2008) onwards for 60 days and May 11th (2009) onwards for another 60 days. CBI investigation proves criminal activities have been involved in the conversations.
