CBI questioned Dharmana Prasada Rao on the controversial GOs issued during his tenure as the Revenue Minister of Andhra pradesh.

About 8,500 crores have been allotted to Lepakshi Knowledge Hub in Anantapur for a minimal price and five GOs have been released in this regard in 2008. Although the Revenue Officials quoted high price, Government has given away 3,000 acres for just Rs 50,000 and another 5,000 acres for Rs 1.575 lakhs.

However, No such Lepakshi Knowledge Hub was built till now. Indu Projects which was a sister company of Lepakshi had mortgaged the land to get a loan of Rs 700 crore from various banks. More than Rs 500 crore has been cleared by the banks by the time CBI probe began and the remaining amount has been withheld after the scam broke out.

Dharmana informed to the CBI that it was APIIC which obtained the land from government and handed it one to Lepakshi Knowledge Hub. He claimed to have cleared the file allotment of lands to Lepakshi as a Revenue Minister and the other things that took place after that were beyond his purview.

CBI also quizzed Sabita Sindra Reddy on the GOs allotting limestone mines to Penna Cements and India Cements.
