Toofan Makers approach High Court
X
As the agitations in the state have been creating huddles for the release of Ram Charan's upcoming flick 'Toofan', Reliance Entertainment which produced the flick approached the AP High Court seeking police protection to the theatres screening the movie. The petition will come to hearing on September 5th, that's a day before the film's release.

Toofan is face the heat of both Samaikyanadhra and Telangana movement. Agitators of both the regions have been demanding Union Minister Chiranjeevi to take a clear stand in their favor since few days and have been threatening to stall the release of the film on
September 6th.

Due to the aspects like 'Zanjeer' releasing on September 6th and Piracy, the release of 'Toofan' can't be postponed. The OU JAC opposed the release of the movie and also warned exhibitors against buying the theatrical rights of the movie. However, the distributors and exhibitors can't back now from screening the film as they have already signed agreements with the producers. Due to the ongoing agitations, the distribution rights were sold for much lesser price in the territories where the agitations were intense. 'Toofan' release would now depend on the court order and how the people of both the regions will receive it.
