Satellite Heroes of Tollywood

It's never easy to withstand the tough competition in Film Industry without a godfather and many heroes who wish to test their luck on their own have faded out in the long run due to the lack of a solid fan base backing them. The recent trend of satellite rights have come as a blessing in disguise for some of the youngsters who have only one or two success to their credit despite more than a dozen releases.
Currently, Varun Sandesh and Tanish have been treated by the Industry folks as satellite heroes. While Varun has two hits Happy Days and Kotha Bangaru Lokam, Tanish delivered one success with Nachavule. Despite successive flops from these heroes, Producers have been working with them just to cash in on the satellite rights.
The satellite rights for big heroes films have skyrocketed in the past few years. Other than Maa Tv and Gemini, none of the channels could afford to buy big ticket flicks as producers have been quoting a minimum of Rs 6-7 crores. Due to these factors, there is severe shortage of content for other small and medium range channels. Heroes like Varun Sandesh and Tanish have been getting benefitted with this situation.
