50% Reservation For Women In Gram Volunteer Posts

AP Chief Minister announced his decision to appoint 4.33 lakh Gram Volunteers during his swearing-in ceremony on May 30th.
Ajeya Kallam who is the principal advisor of AP CM informed, 'In the appointment of Gram Volunteers, 50 percent reservation would be offered for Women. In the tribal areas, Eligible Qualification is SSC. In Villages, The applicant much clear Intermediate. In the Urban Areas, Degree Holders will be given an opportunity to be Gram Volunteers. Those in the age group of 18 to 30 years could apply for the posts of Gram Volunteers'.
Selection Committee will be preparing the list of eligible people for the posts of Gram Volunteers with the scrutiny of applications at the mandal level.
Recruitment of all the 4.33 lakh Gram Volunteers will be happening by August 15th, 2019. Chief Minister has already made it clear he won't tolerate corrupt practices to ensure this exercise doesn't become like Janma Bhoomi Committees.
