7.5 Percent Indians suffer from Mental Disorders

According to the latest study of World Health Organization (WHO), Almost 9.5 crore Indians (7.5 percent) suffer from minor or major mental disorders.

As much as 56 million Indians (4.5% of Population) suffer from depression. In addition, About 38 million Indians are dealing with anxiety disorders.

In October 2016, Bangalore-based Nation Institute of Health & Neuro Sciences has conducted a Nationwide survey. It disclosed at least 5% of people have been facing mental disorders. Which means, One in every 20 people doesn't have good mental health.

In just an year, The count of people suffering from mental disorders increased by at least 3.5 crore. WHO recommended immediate medical intervention to address the alarming rise.

Symptoms of Depression - Feeling sad all the time, Lack of self-confidence, Not have proper sleep, Lack of concentration and Feeling Guilty.
