Telangana Government launched 'Bathukamma Sarees Scheme' to distribute sarees to 1 crore women in the state. To its shock, Majority of the beneficiaries expressed their displeasure over the quality of the sarees. There were incidents of Women setting the sarees ablaze and playing Bathukamma by throwing them on the road.
