No Politics Over Rape: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded on rapes of minor girls in the country during the 'Bharat Ki Baat, Sabke Saath' diaspora in London. 'A rape is a rape. It's painful when a young girl is sexually exploited. How could we tolerate the exploitation of our Daughters?,' he said.

Modi expressed the view that there shouldn't be politics over rape. He questioned how fair is it to say, 'There were that many rapes in our Government and this many rapes in yours. It's worse than anything else'.

PM termed the crimes against women as an evil of the entire society. He feels parents need to teach their sons how to treat their girls with respect. 'When a Girl comes late, Parents ask where has she gone and whom did she meet. Why not sons were asked the same questions?,' he questioned.

There was a national wide outrage over the rapes of minor girls in Uttar Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. PM promised justice for the victims families after Opposition intensified the protests.
