ACB traps AP's Corruption King

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Officials were shell shocked upon knowing about the illegal assets amassed by Engineer-in-Chief of Public Health & Municipal Engineering Pamu Panduranga Rao. Assets worth around Rs 900 crore has been unearthed during the raids at his properties in Guntur, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, West Godavari and Krishna districts.
Three Residential Properties, 7 Plots in Hyd & Visakha and 6.5 acre Agriculture Land in Krishna District were registered in Rao's name. Whereas, 35 Plots and 21 Agriculture Lands were in the name of Panduranga Rao's Wife Rajya Laxmi. Rs 10 lakh in cash, Rs 1.95 lakh worth US Dollars, One-and-a-half kg Gold and 9 kg Silver were seized.
Pamu Panduranga Rao hails from Kotcherla in Krishna district. He joined Government Service as Deputy Executive Engineer in 1987. In the past 3 decades, Mr.Rao managed to amass as much wealth as possible using his position. Finally, ACB trapped Rao and produced him in the court after the arrest.
