A cash crunch situation has been faced by people across the Nation due to the 'No Cash' boards at the ATMs. While many ATMs remained closed, Those few ATMs which have been dispensing cash aren't able to meet the demand.

Though it's been one-and-a-half year since Demonetisation was announced, People are still not able to withdraw as much money they want from their own Banks Accounts. While people in Urban Areas are able to manage somehow using the digital transaction, Those in Rural Areas have been suffering a lot.

Whereas, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley gave an impression as if there is shortage of currency only in few areas and that too temporarily. 'Have reviewed the currency situation in the country. Over all there is more than adequate currency in circulation and also available with the Banks. The temporary shortage caused by ‘sudden and unusual increase’ in some areas is being tackled quickly,' he tweeted.

RBI constituted a committee to review the currency situation in the country and assured adequate measures were taken to meet the demand. Officials say this situation has come because more withdrawals were happening than deposits in AP, Telangana, Bihar, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, UP and Madhya Pradesh.

Netizens have been fuming at Finance Minister for trying to downplay the dire situation rather than admitted the failures. Many of them questioned whether Modi announced Note Ban to trouble the common man.
