Ali Joins YCP, Wishes To See Jagan As CM!
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 March 2019 5:53 AM GMTComedian Ali joined YSR Congress Party in the presence of YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday. Speaking to media, Ali told: 'People believe there will be development if Jagan becomes Chief Minister. When I met him in the past, He invited Me to join YCP but I took some time to take the decision. In 1999, I joined TDP. 20 Years later, I came out of that party and joined YCP. My goal is to ensure YS Jagan becomes next CM of AP with a huge majority'.
Quizzed about from where he would be contesting, The Comedian clarified: 'Jagan gave assurances to many leaders during Padayatra. So, Chances of Me getting ticket have been ruled out. That is why I won't contest in 2019 Polls, but will campaign for the party. If Jagan offers Me either Rajahmundry or Vijayawada ticket, I would surely contest'.
Regarding his previous meeting with AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, Ali made it clear that it was done just to convey greetings on the eve of New Year.
When asked why he preferred YCP over Jana Sena, Ali maintained: 'Friendship and Politics are different. Pawan Kalyn is a good friend of mine. If PK wins, I consider it as my victory. I am in good terms with leaders of all the parties but people are saying - 'Jagan Ravali, Jagan Kavali'. That is why I decided to support YCP'.
