Many of the water bodies in the Amaravati region vanished after it's been chosen as the new capital. So now, The water has been passing into the villages and getting struck due to lack of proper drainage system.

Roads in 29 villages of AP Capital were in bad condition. Locals have been expressing their anguish over the failure of TDP Government in laying proper roads and setting up good drainage system in the past four years.

A record rainfall of 38.8 cm was witnessed by people of Koida in West Godavari. 29.1 cm rainfall in Kukunuru and 28.1 cm in Velerupadu were recorded in the past 24 hours.

Lack of proper maintenance of Dams caused huge damage to the properties and farm lands in the flood ravaged areas in AP. Officials failed to open the gates of the Dams at the right time. At least taking necessary care before the start of the rainy season would have minimized this devastation.
