Ambati Rayudu wasn't included in the 15-member Indian Squad for the ICC World Cup 2019. Selectors preferred All-Rounder Vijay Shankar over Specialist Batsman Rayudu for the No.4 Slot.
Chief Selector MSK Prasad informed: 'What Vijay Shankar brings is three-dimensional. He could bat, bowl a few overs of medium pace and a fantastic fielder as well. That's why he managed to get into the side for World Cup'.
Rayudu didn't hesitate to express his anguish on the Selectors for the choice they had made. 'Just ordered a new set of 3D Glasses to watch the World Cup,' Tweeted the Hyderabadi.
Former Cricketer Gautam Gambhir came in support of Ambati Rayudu. He told, 'There needn't be any debate on the exclusion of Rishabh Pant but not picking up Ambati Rayudu is heart-breaking'.
