Pilot's Death Mid-Air led to Emergency Landing!

An unexpected tragedy which took place on an American Airlines flight between Phoenix and Boston led to an Emergency Landing.

Minutes after the take off from Phoenix, Pilot fell sick and passed away mid-air. Co-Pilot handled the situation with utmost maturity and his cool head averted a major disaster. At first, He informed the Officials about the medical emergency and took complete control over the flight. He then sought the permission to make emergency landing by diverting to Syracuse and appealed to arrange an ambulance near the runway. The flight made a safe landing at 7.13 am and it was only after that passengers came to know about the tragedy.

About 147 passengers and 5 crew members were in the Flight 550 when it took off around Midnight. All the Passengers have boarded another flight arranged by the airlines to reach Boston and they reached the destination five hours after the scheduled time. However, None of the complained but felt bad for the pilot and expressed their gratitude to the co-pilot.
