Why Congress Offered Rs 25 Lakh To Owaisi?

AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi created a sensation by alleging that a Congress Leader had offered him Rs 25 lakh only to prevent him from attending the public meeting at Nirmal Town on Monday.
At the meeting, Owaisi disclosed: 'Congress offered Rs 25 lakh to stop Me from attending this meeting. I had even recorded the phone call. Nobody can lure Me with money. I would sacrifice my life rather than compromising on my principles'.
MIM hasn't fielded its candidate in Nirmal Constituency though it have good number of Muslim Voters. Instead, Majlis has been extending support to the TRS Candidate P Indrakaran Reddy. Congress offered the Nirmal Ticket to former MLA Maheswara Reddy.
The allegation made by the Hyderabad MP would surely hurt the poll prospects of Congress not only in Nirmal but also in other segments. This situation worries other parties of Grand Alliance as well.
