BJP is on a mission to divide Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) led by Hardik Patel, who is spearheading the movement seeking reservations for the Patel Community, ahead of the Assembly Polls in Gujarat. Already, Hardik Patel's former Aide Varun Patel and few others had been lured into the Saffron Party. However, The Ruling Party received a major blow in the form of bribe allegations.
Narendra Patel, who is the convenor of PAAS in north Gujarat, alleged BJP offered him Rs 1 crore through Varun Patel to ditch Hardik Patel. 'Varun Patel offered Me Rs 10 lakh. BJP promised to pay the balance Rs 90 lakh Tomorrow. But, They willn't be able to buy Me even if they offer entire Reserve Bank of India,' he declared after placing the bundles of currency notes before media.
Varun Patel, however, condemned the allegations. He alleges Congress Party is behind these baseless allegations and it's a ploy of Main Opposition to stop Patidars from backing BJP.
BJP Spokesperson Bharat Pandya describes the whole episode involving Narendra Patel as a pre-planned drama by Congress.
