BJP Chief Amit Shah on Friday announced former CM BS Yeddyurappa as the CM Candidate of the party for 2018 Karnataka Assembly Polls. 'BJP will fight next Assembly Polls in Karnataka under the leadership of Yeddyurappa,' he declared.

BS Yeddyurappa is the leader who helped BJP formed the Government for the first time in a Southern State. He powered the saffron party to victory in 2008 Assembly Polls. He, however, was forced to resign due to corruption charges. Yeddyurappa floated a new party in 2011 but came back to BJP after failing miserably in 2013 Polls. At present, Yeddyurappa is the President of Karnataka BJP. He got the opportunity to bring back BJP to power after a decade.

On the other hand, Amit Shah declared Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani will be the Chief Ministerial choice for Assembly Polls scheduled to happen by the end of 2017. He exudes confidence that BJP will win 150 out of 180 Seats in Gujarat Assembly.
