The whole nation expected an end for the Ayodhya Title Dispute Case on October 16th but the Supreme Court reserved its judgment till November during the hearing on Wednesday. Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi-headed Five Judge Bench heard the arguments of both the parties. Yet, No decision was taken on the 2.77 acres of Rama Janma Bhoomi-Babri Masjid land.

2002, April: Hearing over ownership of the disputed land began in the Allahabad High Court.

2010: Allahabad High Court grants three-way division of the disputed area between Sunni Waqf Board, The Nirmohi Akhara and Ram Lalla.

2011: Supreme Court issued stay on Allahabad High Court verdict on disputed land.

2017, March 21st: Then Chief Justice JS Khehar recommended out-of-court settlement.

2017, August 7th: Supreme Court constituted 3-Judge Bench for hearing of petitions filed against 1994 verdict of Allahabad High Court.

2017, August 20th: UP Shia Central Waqf Board told Supreme Court that Ram Temple can be built in Ayodhya and Mosque could be constructed in Lucknow.
2018, September 27th: SC turned down the plea seeking refering the case to five-judge Constitution Bench.

2019, January 8th: The Apex Court constituted a 5-Judge Constitution Bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi to hear the case.

2019, January 29th: Centre sought permission of the SC to return the 67-acres of acquired land to original owners.

2019, March 8th: SC agrees for mediation through a 3-member panel to settle the dispute.

2019, August 1st: 3-Member Committee submitted its report to SC in a sealed cover.

2019, October 16th: Hearing of the 70-Year-Old Ayodhya Land Dispute case has come to an end. Supreme Court has reserved its judgement.
