A series of bomb blasts in Sri Lanka killed at least 185 people and injured around 600 others. Terrorists have targeted the Worshippers and Foreigners by planting bombs in Churches and Luxury Hotels in the Island Nation.

Bomb Blasts happened at Kochikade, St Sebastian and Batticaloa Churches during the Sunday Prayers. Hotels Cinnamon Grand, Shangri La and Kingsbury were also targeted. As many as 8 bomb blasts happened at different locations. While six blasts happened in quick succession, Two more explosions took place two hours later. At least 20 were among the deceased.

St Anthony's Shrine, Kochchikade St Sebastian's Church, Negombo Zion Church, Batticaloa Cinnamon Grand, Colombo Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo The Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo Near Dehiwala Zoo in Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia, A house in Mahawila Gardens, Dematagoda.

PM Ranil Wickremesingle termed the devastation as a worst act of violence since the end of Sri Lanka Civil War a decade ago.

Indian PM Narendra Modi conveyed his condolences to his Sri Lankan Counterpart. He described the terror attack as cold-blooded and pre-planned barbaric attack.
