If the buzz in political circles is to be believed, Bonthu Ram Mohan seeked Cabinet Rank after his appointment as GHMC Mayor.
The newly elected GHMC Mayor Ram Mohan & Deputy Mayor Fasiuddin sought replacement of their existing vehicles with brand new Fortuners & beefing up the security with additional gunmen. They have also enquired with the concerned officials on the kind of facilities they were entitled to use during their tenure. This include special powers and allowances.
TRS Government might respond positively to most of the demands of its Mayor & Deputy Mayor. But, Will Telangana CM accord Cabinet Rank to GHMC Mayor?
Monthly salaries of GHMC Mayor & Deputy Mayor stood at Rs 50,000 and 25,000 respectively. Whereas, Corporators will be paid just Rs 6,000.
