Anil Bokil, the man who suggested the idea of demonetisation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, declares achieving a Cashless Economy is impossible. He suggested Centre to aim for Taxless Economy instead.

When quizzed about the need for introducing Rs 2,000 notes, Mr.Bokil informs that it's just a measure to address cash crunch post note ban. He feels even Rs 500 notes should be withdrawn to curb black money & corruption.

Anil Bokil is the chief of Pune-based think-tank ArthaKranthi Pratishthan. He claims his Organization has suggested a different method for implementation of Demonetisation. 'We recommended withdrawal of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes in a phased manner. Apart from withdrawal of many taxes, We suggested introduction of Bank Transaction tax,' he revealed.

Mr.Bokil clarifies Taxless & Less Cash is the motto of ArthaKranthi Pratishthan, not cashless economy.
