Rajya Sabha Elections for 58 Seats from 16 States is scheduled to happen in March 23rd, 2018. AP and Telangana gets three seats each this time after the term of six members (Chiranjeevi, Renuka Chowdhury, Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar, P Govardhan Reddy, T Devender Goud and CM Ramesh) ended.

As per their strength in AP Assembly, TDP and YCP can elect two and one Rajya Sabha Members respectively. Whereas, TRS can win all the three Rajya Sabha Seats in Telangana. All the six members will be elected unanimously without election.

Telugu Desam Party:

1) CM Ramesh (Velama)

2) Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar (Kamma)

Initially, Chandrababu Naidu informed one of the two Rajya Sabha seats will be offered to a weaker section. However, He offered both the seats to Upper Castes due to heavy lobbying.

YSR Congress Party:

1) Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy (Reddy)

Jagan is very particular about offering the only Rajya Sabha seat to Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy who is loyal to his father YSR and YCP since many years. He didn't bother about caste equations here.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi:

1) Joginapally Santosh Kumar (Velama)

2) Banda Prakash Mudiraj (BC)

3) Badugula Lingaiah Yadav (BC)

Though Rajya Sabha seat was offered to his relative & close aide Joginapally, KCR sent a strong indication by offering the two remaining seats to BCs. In that way, He curtailed the criticism of opponents citing 'family rule'.
