AP BJP Leaders keeps on claiming their party has done so much for Seemandhra since bifurcation. Whereas, Centre doesn't hesitate to neglect any of the major promises such as Special Category Status and Railway Zone.
Recently, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley told Centre have sympathy on AP for the injustice happened during bifurcation but funds can't be granted either based on sympathy/sentiment. He behaved as if AP is seeking the funds meant for defense or entire nation.
And now, Yet again Centre made it clear it don't care about the sentiments by denying Visakha Railway Zone citing it will be of no use.
Recently, Union Home Secretary Rajeev Gaba, Additional Secretary TSNV Prasad, Central Government Officials, AP & Telangana Officials held a meeting to discuss about 13th Schedule in AP Reorganization Act 2014. When Visakha Railway Zone came up for discussion, Centre questioned AP Officials what would the state gain from Zone. This shows how much committed Union Government has been to fulfill the promises.
