Ordinance approved, No stopping for Jallikattu!

Union Government has succumbed to the immense pressure mounted by Tamilians. Politicians, Celebrities, Students, Traders and other sections have united to save the Tamil culture. Protests have only intensified on Day 4.

The ordinance exempting Jallikattu from the Prevention of cruelty to Animals Act (PCA Act) has been approved by the Home Ministry on Friday night on behalf of President of India. Tamil Nadu Cabinet would gives it consent to the ordinance Today and then it would be forwarded to Governor CH Vidyasagar Rao. If Governor approves it, Jallikattu can be held all over Tamil Nadu at any time.

The ordinance on Jallikattu brings a state-specific amendment to Prevention of Animal Cruelty Act. Can AP Government exert the same kind of pressure on Centre to obtain an ordinance permitting Kodi Pandem? Surely, It's going to be on the agenda of Andhra Leaders for sure. Wait & See!
