With elections fast approaching and with the party's popularity graph fast plummeting, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is a worried man. He is said to be burning his midnight oil to revive the party's popularity. He is also worried about the media coverage of Telugu Desam Government and the party news. He is said to have appointed a special team to monitor the media coverage to the party. These staff members will count the number of minutes the TV channel has covered the TDP news. They will also monitor if the speech of Chandrababu Naidu is covered in full or in part. If the speech is only partly covered, a phone call goes to the media house threatening to stop the advertisements to the channel or newspaper. Many channels are being forced to give more coverage to Chandrababu Naidu.

On his part, Chandrababu Naidu is addressing at least three major programmes everyday. Each speech extends to nearly one hour. At this rate, every media house has to give at least three hours of coverage to the TDP. At least three major channels are giving almost round-the-clock coverage to the TDP and the CM. Some more channels are now being forced to fall in line. Their advertisement related payments would be released only when the TDP is satisfied about the coverage given. This is Chandrababu Naidu's style of managing and controlling the media
