AP spent 18.29 Lakh for Dinner served to 19 People

On February 23rd & 24th, AP Government conducted an International Workshop on the topic 'Intellectual Property, Commercial & Emerging Loss' in Vijayawada for two days. Several dignitaries have attended this meeting. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu arranged a special dinner for the participants and about 19 people have attended it.
A Social Activist sought expenses incurred during this Work Shop based on Right To Information Act. While Rs 13,38,270 lakhs was spent for dinner itself, Another Rs 4,90,705 lakh have been used for the facilities provided. The total expenditure amounts to Rs 18,29,425 lakh.
Opposition Parties have been questioning how could TDP Government spend Tax Payers money like water inspite of saying the state is in crisis after bifurcation. Whereas, TDP Leaders are of the feeling the expenditure is just a few lakhs and that's not a big deal at all for an International Workshop.
