Chandrababu Naidu is known to be someone who is neither sensitive nor emotional like NT Rama Rao. A Politician of such a reputation broke down and that too in the legislative assembly.

While passing a resolution seeking Special Status and fulfillment of all the promises of AP Reorganisation Act 2014, CM Chandrababu Naidu had shed tears while recalling the humiliation he was subjected to since 2014 by the Narendra Modi Government. He complained all of his representations during 29 trips to New Delhi had fallen in the deaf ears.

Naidu recalled Arun Jaitley poked fun when he sought special financial assistance for Amaravati saying it's CM's 'Dream City'. He questioned, 'When Rs 17,000 crore can be offered for Metro Rail to a developed city like Bengaluru, Why don't it grant money for Amaravati? What's wrong about aiming for a world class capital?'.

The Resolution seeks Special Package, Compensating Revenue Deficit, Financial Assistance to AP Capital, Visakha Railway Zone, Durgarajapatnam Port, Kadapa Steel Factory, Kakinada Petro-Chemical Complex, Funds for Polavaram & Institutes, and Package for 7 Backward Districts on the lines of Bundelkhand. AP Government alleged Centre kept citing excuses like Utilization Certificates & others to ignore the promises.
