The boat tragedy which claimed 22 lives in Vijayawada is still haunting the TDP Government. Tourism Department suspended few officials holding them responsible for the mishap. Suspended Employees are now mulling to approach the court. Few petitions were filed in Lokayuktha against the suspension. Media kept reporting the ill-fated boat belongs to a person who is close to a Minister & greediness for money led to the tragedy.
A Review Meeting was held by AP CM Chandrababu Naidu with Ministers and Officials on Monday. It's then he breathed fire on the allegations made by Film Personalities against Nandi Awards. While stepping out of the conference room, Naidu expressed his anger over the Boat Tragedy soon after spotting Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya. He asked Akhila Priya, 'Who is responsible for the death of 22 people?'.
Everyone present there remained silent for few seconds. Then, Babu said: 'In the past, Ministers used to resign taking responsibility when such things happened. Why can't Tourism Department be held responsible for the boat tragedy?'. Akhila Priya continued to remain mum. Then, Naidu commented that lack of proper coordination between departments is leading to such tragedies.
