Row over Chief Justice welcoming Sri Sri at Airport

Chief Justice of Gauhati Ajit Singh invited trouble by going all the way to Airport to receive Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar & drive him to the Hotel. This incident happened on September 5th when the Spiritual Guru was in Gauhati for North East Indigenous People's Conference.
Ajit Singh was caught on camera picking up Ravi Shankar from the airport and driving the car himself. Bar Association of Gauhati High Court termed the incident as violation of High Court norms. This issue will be discussed during the upcoming general body meeting of the Bar Association. In fact, The Bar Association is considering approaching Chief Justice of Supreme Court to lodge a formal complaint.
Certainly, Ajit Singh mayn't have expected the issue will be blown out of proportion. It would have been nice had if he kept his stature and position in mind before exhibiting the kind of respect he have for the Spiritual Guru.
