Chine implemented One-Child Policy for more than 3 decades to limit it's population growth. Now, A One-Dog Policy has been enforced in a Chinese City.

Qingdao City in Eastern China is where One-Dog Policy is being implemented. Under the new rule which came in effect from June 8th, Residents having more than one dog will be penalized $300 (Rs 18,000 approx). Those people who already have more than one dog have nothing to worry but the problem is with the newborns.

Each owner of the Pet Dog will be given an Electronic ID after charging $60 registration fee. In addition, About 40 dog breed including German Shepherd, Pit Bulls and Tibetan Mastiffs were banned.

These rules were framed after receiving several complaints against the dogs. Around 6.5 crore out of 10 crore pets in China are Dogs. Restrictions were imposed on pet dogs in cities such as Beijing and Shanghai.
