Congress - JD (S) Government is going to be established by Wednesday morning with the oath taking ceremony in Bengaluru. Both the parties have reached an understanding regarding the sharing of Cabinet Berths after Kumaraswamy's meeting with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
Out of 34 Ministerial Berths, Congress which managed to win 78 seats in the Assembly Polls will be getting 22. JD (S) which settled with 37 seats would receive 12 Portfolios including the CM Post for HD Kumaraswamy.
Already, Kumaraswamy informed Congress Leader G Parameshwara will be made Deputy CM of Karnataka as part of power-sharing deal. This could be a bitter pill for DK Shiva Kumar who handled Camp Politics successfully. Until now, There is strong buzz that this richest Congress MLA will be Deputy CM. However, Kumaraswamy was reluctant due to the friction with DK Shiva Kumar who contested elections against three of his family members in the past.
