Crimes against Women at an alarming rate

Kerala is known as God's Own Country & Heaven on the Earth. But, It's turning like a hell on earth for women with the rising crime rate.
In 2016, Attacks on women and kids in Kerala were as many as 16,960. About 2,568 out of them were rapes or sexual assaults. While 1,644 out of them are against women, About 924 are on minors & kids.
In 2015, As many as 1,983 rape cases have been recorded. While 1,263 have been against women, 720 had been on chidden.
The image of Kerala has defamed with the abduction and molestation of popular Malayalam Actress. If Kerala Government doesn't take stringent measures to lower the crime rate, Tourists won't consider it as a safe place to visit.
