Rs 15 Lakh in Accounts? PMO Denies Info!

During the 2014 Lok Sabha poll campaigning, Then BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi promised to bring back black money from abroad and deposit Rs 15 lakh in each citizen's bank account.

A Right To Information (RTI) query has been placed seeking details from Prime Minister's Office about the implementation of this poll promise. PMO, however, denied proper response saying this information can't be sought under the rules of the RTI Act.

Mohan Kumar Sharma filed this RTI query on November 26th, 2016, that's within couple of weeks after Modi announced demonetisation. He even sought information regarding how print media managed to get prior information about the note ban. Mr.Sharma now complains he is yet to receive complete information though one-and-a-half year has passed.

Narendra Modi himself had given an opportunity for Opposition and People to criticize his Government by failing utterly in the implementation of the biggest poll promise ever. What has NDA Government done so far other than troubling common man with Note Ban, GST and Cash Crunch?
