A day after her brother Deepak Jayakumar declared that only he and her sister can inherit the properties of Jayalalithaa, Deepa made it clear she doesn't have interest on any of the assets of her aunt.
After paying tribute to Jayalalithaa at her memorial in Marina Beach, Deepa Jayakumar was asked by Media if she wishes to stake claim for Poes Garden residence Veda Nilayam and other assets of aunt. In reply, Deepa declared: 'Firstly, I should tell you something. Last year on this day, I met my aunt and conveyed her birthday wishes. It was a memorable experience for me. Today, I got emotional'.
'Properties of Jayalalithaa weren't important for Me. Don't even wish to touch the pen of my aunt. I just need her blessings...she is still with me. I'm the true successor of Jayalalithaa and I will contest RK Nagar by-poll. My goal is to achieve the goals of Amma'.
Deepa who backed the former CM O Panneerselvam appointed by Jayalalithaa after his revolt against Sasikala Natarajan took a U-Turn now. 'Won't work with O Panneerselvam at any cost,' she declares.
On the other hand, CM Palaniswami Camp & Panneerselvam's Coterie competed in celebrating Jayalalithaa birth anniversary.
