Family of Hyderabad Techie Mohammad Azam working with Accenture has been mourning the death caused by WhatsApp rumours. What was supposed to be a picnic at Bidar in Karnataka ended in a tragedy.
Mohammad Azam's Father: 'My Son showed documents and ID card to the villagers to make them believe he and his friends aren't child kidnappers. Still, He was beaten to death believing a rumour. Government need to take stringent action against those involved in the mob attack'.
Mohammad Azam's Mother: 'Did My Son cross the India-Pak border? Neither tear gas nor fire was opened by cops to save him'.
Villagers confronted the Group just for offering chocolates to school children and accused them of child-lifters. Out of fear, The Group of four youth left the area in a hurry and drove the car at high speed. Vehicle they used doesn't have a permanent registration number. All these factors made the villagers grew more suspicious. Information has been passed about the car to the people in neighboring villages. Then, People in neighboring village set up obstacles to stop the vehicle. The car fell into a culvert upon hitting a stone and two wheeler. Villagers had thrashed the group with stones and sticks.
