Well, America is a land of opportunities used to be the belief of many. But soon America is disowning the reputation. With Trump as President, America is trying to be not Great again and it is proving as the days go by. Trump's government has come to power by announcing American jobs will be given to Americans only and proving that, Senate of America asked an NRI, Dr. Vivek Murthy to resign from his duties as Surgeon General of America.
In Obama's reign Senate agreed to appoint an Indian to such prestigious position assuming highest position a doctor can in America, with 51-43. Pro Gun lobby, has been against Vivek Murthy's appointment and finally they got their say. The ministry of Health and Human Resources of America announced this through a press note. It read that Vivek Murthy will continue as a core committee member and the assistant surgeon general, rear admiral Sylvia Trent-Adams as been appointed as the surgeon general now.
Well, this is second Indian to be insulted like this. Vivek should continue in the office for four years but he has been asked to resign from duties before he completed the time. Earlier, Preet Bharara had been removed forcible from the post of Attorney General after he denied to resign from the post. Vivek Murthy is just 37 years old and the man showed lot of maturity in handling the issue. He gracefully said thanks for people of America giving his family an opportunity to migrate to the land from India, 40 years ago and accepting him in such a huge post for the time period they did. He posted a long Facebook post about it. Trump seems to have taken the office to undo everything Obama did and this kind of attitude will only grow enemies for him rather than help in developing America as he claims.
