Ban On Films Of Sumalatha & Nikhil Gowda

The battle between Sumalatha and Kumaraswamy's Son Nikhil Gowda in Mandya Lok Sabha Constituency is drawing the attention of the nation. While Sumalatha forayed into politics to continue the legacy of her deceased husband Ambareesh, Nikhil Gowda forayed into politics to continue the family legacy.
Deputy Commissioner & Returning Officer of the Mandya Lok Sabha Constituency N Manjushree passed an order banning the screening of films starring Sumalatha and Nikhil Gowda on Doordarshan till April 18th, on the day polling will happen. This order isn't applicable to the movies of the two celebs screened in Theatres and private TV Channels.
Stars like Yash, Puneet Rajkumar and Darshan are backing the candidature of Sumalatha in Mandya Constituency. She is expected to emerge victorious inspite of contesting as an Independent due to the sympathy wave. In Mandya, BJP Activists have been indirectly backing Sumalatha to defeat Nikhil Gowda.
Though he is the son of the Chief Minister, Nikhil Gowda will have a tough time as the mood of the people is in favour of Sumalatha at the moment. Congress-JD (S) Combine took the risk of fielding Nikhil Gowda instead of Sumalatha in Mandya and it might end up paying the price.
