Mukesh Ambani stunned the rival telecom operators by announcing JioPhone will be offered for free. The Reliance Chairman, however, didn't mention 'Conditions Apply' here.
Customers interested in buying JioPhone need to pay a refundable deposit of Rs 1,500. They could get back this amount after 3 years. Here is the actual twist...To get back the refundable deposit, Customers will have to recharge every month.
HSBC informed Reliance had informed it that full amount willn't be refunded if Customers fail to recharge continuously.
Customers could get access to JioTV with Rs 309 monthly plan. Actually, JioPhone cable which is a casting service is a must to view the TV Channels on the big screen. This cable could cost anywhere around Rs 500. DTH Players willn't face any impact because they were offering services for much lower price.
