Exercise To Pick Up New Coach For Team India

Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) begun the exercise for the Team India Support Staff appointments. This include Head Coach, Batting Coach, Bowling Coach, Fielding Coach, Physiotherapist, Strength & Conditioning Coach and Administrative Manager. Applicants should be under 60 years of age and have a minimum of 2 years international experience. Deadline for sending the applicants is 5 pm on July 30th, 2019.

Those applying for Head Coach job should have 2 years experience as Head Coach of Test Nation or 3 years experience of IPL or its equivalent international leagues. He should be have an experience of playing 30 Tests or 50 ODIs.

Current Support Staff which include Head Coach Ravi Shastri, Batting Coach Sanjay Bangar, Bowling Coach Bharat Arun, Fielding Coach R Sridhar and Team Manager Sunil Subramaniam have been given 45-days extension post World Cup 2019 considering the West Indies tour from August 3rd to September 3rd. However, Contract of Trainer Shankar Basu and Physic Patrick Farhart wasn't extended.

CoA made it clear current Support Staff needn't have to re-apply for the job as they will get direct entry into the recruitment process.
