It is known that Indian techie Srinivas Kuchibhotla was shot dead in a hate crime a year ago and the news grabbed the headlines at that time. In fact, the incident had sent shockwaves across the migrant communities in the USA. His wife Sunayana Dumala was on dependent Visa at that time. She lost the status to reside in the USA then but she was offered residency status later.
In a recent development, Sunayana has been invited to attend American President Donald Trump's Annual Union Address which is going to be held on January 30. Congressman Kevin Yoder invited her to the president's annual address. On the occasion, Kevin Yoder felt that "We need to send a message to the Indian community and other Indian immigrant groups that we are a loving country that welcomes all".
The Congressman's gesture will surely send a positive message to the Indian community in the US for sure. He is getting a huge appreciation from the American Indians and other immigrant groups in the USA.
