Vijayashanti earned the title 'Lady Amitabh' with her daring and dashing attitude on the screen. She was the one who charged remuneration on par or even more than Top Stars of Telugu Cinema for a period of time. Later, Ramulamma made her political debut and won as MP on TRS Ticket in 2009. She, however, faced defeat while contesting 2014 Polls on the Congress ticket. Ever since then, She isn't active in politics and health issues are said to be the reason behind it.

In a recent interview, Vijayashanti was asked had if anyone tried to suppress her out of jealousy in the Film Industry. In reply, The Former Actress said: 'There were people who questioned how can a Heroine attain the image of Hero & charge highest remuneration. But, I had overcome all of the hurdles and answered the critics with successful films'.

Not many knew, Vijayashanti didn't rely on dupes for performing risky stunts in many films. There were times when the Dynamic Actress used to jump for a height of 30 feet and she hardly cared about the injuries.

Interestingly, Vijayashanti expressed the view that Politics is more dangerous than Films. 'I was in a top position when I begun fight for Telangana statehood. Many people ridiculed Me saying it's a wrong decision. I always believed both regions will develop after bifurcation. Today, I am happy with how things have been going on,' she told.

Asked why did she quit TRS ahead of 2014 Polls, Vijayashanti said few people have conspired against her and backstabbing is common in politics. She claims to be having gratitude for Congress which offered Telangana statehood. 'Just alike Gandhi, I worked hard for achieving Telangana Statehood for 19 years. It's a huge achievement for Me,' claims the Congress Leader.

Vijayashanti clarifies she have no plans to join AIADMK but campaigned for RK Nagar by-poll only because of rapport she shares with Jayalalithaa.

On the Drugs Racket Case, Vijayashanti opined: 'Had if SIT found the involvement of Film Celebs, Offering counselling and issuing a warning to them could have been enough. Names of none of the drug addicts in other fields were disclosed so far. How should we understand it?'.
