GST Attacks: What's this confusion?

The other day, News Channel had reported about the raids conducted by GST Intelligence Wing on the production house offices belonging to Tamil actor Vishal. It's been told that the raid began at 2 pm on Monday at multiple locations. Even there were reports saying Vishal issued a statement claiming he never evaded service tax.
However, Director General of Goods and Services Tax Intelligence (DGGSTI) Joint Director PVK Rajasekhar condemned the media reports. 'Certain news channels are circulating a news that the officers of DGGSTI, Chennai Zonal Unit have searched the premises of Shri.Vishal who is the President of Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council. It is to clarify that the officers of DGGSTI have not conducted any such search operations and the news which is being circulated is factually incorrect and false,' read the statement dated on 23rd October.
Majority of the people assumed Vishal might have been targeted for supporting 'Mersal' and finding fault with BJP Leader H Raja who watched the piracy print of the Vijay-starrer. But, The clarification issued by concerned officials has put all the rumours to rest.
