Telugu States have been competing to lure leading companies with investor-friendly policies. Until recently, There is talk about multi-national firms setting up their units in Andhra Pradesh. But now, TRS Government cracked a deal to make Hyderabad into an aerospace hub.
GE (General Electronics) in association with Tata Group came forward to set up a plant with international standards in Hyderabad. Manufacturing Jet Planes Engines and other stuff will be done in this Aerospace Hub. This project is going to cost Rs 3,000 crore.
Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao is instrumental in accomplishing this deal successfully. During his recent US Tour, KTR met GE Chairman John L Plenary and convinced him that Hyderabad is the best investment destination.
In the Aerospace Hub likely to be established in Hyderabad, Pilatus Trainers and Lockheed Martin C-130 Trial will be manufactured. Boeing is keen to shift its Apachi War Helicopter unit to GE-Tata's Aerospace Hub in Hyderabad. The Aerospace Hub is going to bring a new image to Hyderabad for sure.
