Good News for India: Australia grants its nod!

India can begin importing uranium from Australia any time soon. Just few days after Prime Ministers of both the Nations declared that all the formalities for bilateral Nuclear deal were completed, Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop announces India can begin Uranium import immediately.
The MoU signed by India and Australia permits Australian Companies to kickstart Uranium exports to the tri-color Nation. Uranium import from Australia will help India is handling the rise in demand for electricity and improves public welfare.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Malcolm Turnbul made an announcement of bilateral Nuclear deal after their meeting during a visit to Turkey on November 15th for G20 Summit.
The ban on Uranium export was lifted by Australia in 2012. Australia contribute to 40 percent of Uranium reserves in the World and the country exports around 7,000 tonnes of it yearly.
